Alpaca Fleece is softer, lighter and warmer than sheep's wool!

It is naturally hypoallergenic and lanolin free! It is the most luxurious & sustainable animal fiber on Earth!

Wet felting is a technique that combines temperature changes and friction that causes microscopic scales on the fibers to become entangled forming an unwoven durable textile.

Strengthen your resiliency by reclaiming this skill and connect to a sacred practice that empowers you with a new ability to take a pile of fleece lacking function and form -  and transform it into beautiful, sustainable, wearable art!

The OMstead is a community space in a residential area. Park in any available parking spot. Enter through the carport & head to the casita in the back.

Nicole Wiegman is the co-founder of Prema Alpacas & Starflower Eco Farm. She is a Permaculture Designer, Hand Spinner and Felt Artist. She and her husband Dave live on 47 acres off grid full time in Northern Az. They raise over 60 alpacas and are one of the largest high quality alpaca breeders in the Southwest.
